After seeing all of the wonderful doodles and zentangles, I just had to try one. I tried some actual zentangle patterns and some of my own ideas. I can see how it could be a meditative process. You get caught up in your designs and the repetitiveness. I kept wondering if I would run out of ink. I used a fine black Sharpie pen that is not supposed to bleed through paper and it didn't! It was fun to try something new. So many great and fun ideas have shown up during this month.

good for you!
ReplyDeletei saw a tutorial somewhere and would love to give it a try too
yours is fantastic!
Great job! Almost looks knitted!
ReplyDeleteHola Susie!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, when I first start drawing something intricate, it appears a little overwhelming, then when you are done you wish for more. It's addictive : )
Great job on yours, it's like a quilt, or fields from an airplain view.
Thank you for visiting my blog.

I love your zentangle. I really enjoy doing them - so relaxing.

Susie, I had to check out your site today, just to find out what a "zentangle" is! I really like yours - it's so intricate. I am finding during my AEDM creating that I've become more impatient and have a shortened attention span from what I remember - probably from being pulled in so many different directions every day (like every other working parent). I'm going to keep this in mind, though, and see if I can try to focus on the "zen" part, instead of the "tangle"! :-)
ReplyDeleteCool Susie!
ReplyDeleteI love how AEDM is exposing us to new forms of art and providing a safe and welcoming space to experiment. Your zentangle is awesome. I love the fine Sharpies too!
great for you! this turned out so cool.
ReplyDelete:-) As I like to say, Art Begets Art, begets Art, begets Art. Great stuff today...
ReplyDeleteOne week to go...
I also love the getting inspiration from others.
ReplyDeleteThe zentangles look great, but I think the effect the twine gave is quite nice in its own way.
I forgot to tell you that I'm really tempted to try this myself! Looks like it was fun and relaxing and it's pretty. I love it.
ReplyDeleteNice job... looks great. They are enjoyable to do...
